A handshake used to be enough
In the world of residential construction, you might want to consider a contract as your friend Remember the old saying “you get what you pay for” well that is certainly true in the remodeling company you choose to work on your home, free is not always free.
You may find plenty of contractors that will eagerly come by your home take a quick look at the work you want to be done and say “No problem, we can do that for $$$” That is what is known as a guesstimate and is worth the paper it is written on, oh that’s right there was not paper, it was verbal. Or maybe the contractor you had come out to your home, took the time to write up an estimate on some “big box” office supply carbon copy invoice and tell you they think this is the best they can do. How did you feel about that? Doesn’t it feel like there might be some hidden cost, or does the time frame seem unrealistic? Well, you would be right, this is no way to do business or treat the client, and that is why “Firm PriceQuotations” are so important.
What is a Firm Price Quotation (FPQ)?
BEST Techs Contracting will always treat you and your project like it is the most important project that we will work on, and it is. That is why when you call BEST Techs Contracting(BTC) we will first schedule an online meeting to get to know one another. Then if we both feel we would like to move forward with the project, the next step would be an in-person meeting to look at the project and sign the Design Agreement (Phase 1).
The Design Agreement is essentially a Retainer Fee to work for you to develop your FPQ. This guarantees that wehave looked at all aspects of your project, and taken the time to write an accurate contract (that fits into your budget), for all of the work you have requested to be completed along with time frames, milestones, and completion date. This FPQ takes time to develop and there is no guessing involved. That way you will have no hidden charges, what you see is the price from start to finish, it is the modern-day handshake, but in writing and guaranteed. The best part is, you know what your project cost from start to finish.
We are only asking you to pay for our work and remember you get what you pay for. Choosing to work with a professional company that has standard processes in place, will make sure your project moves forward with peace of mind and that you have chosen the right company to work on your home.
