The Build
The Remodel Retainer Agreement is a design and Firm Price Quote (FPQ) that includes everything you need to make your project happen:
Design Collaboration
Our experienced design professionals and Home Performance General Contractor will collaborate and design your project. BEST Techs Contracting will work as a team together to ensure your success. We will design, draw, obtain architectural plans (separate fee), and coordinate engineers and any subcontractors necessary to complete your
project.
Firm Price Quote You Can Count On
Free estimates are basically a ballpark guess. That’s why we don’t do them. As part of your Retainer Agreement, we provide a detailed FPQ you can rely on. Here’s how we quote you a price that we know will be accurate. First, we listen to you. We take time to understand your budget, your needs, and your site. Then, we combine that understanding with real data that we’ve gathered from hundreds of projects over 30+ years.
Next, we get brutally honest. Sometimes our clients can get more than they’re expecting. Sometimes they can get a little less. Whatever the case, as experts and with years of experience in the industry we know what projects cost in your area, and we work with you to make sure your plans and your budget are in sync.
Finally, we do everything we can to make sure you pay what we quote. While there’s always a bit of uncertainty in any design and construction quote, our system ensures that the uncertainty stays manageable. And with our process, that uncertainty decreases at every stage.
Most importantly, we are a team of qualified professionals that are on your side, keeping you fully informed and constantly working to make sure you get the home you want within the price range you’re expecting.
Project Administration
Because everyone at BEST Techs Contracting works together, we can handle all the administration: legal agreements, billing, working with the city, construction documentation, coordinating all outside subcontractors, change orders…everything you need to keep your project running on time and on budget.
Online Client Portal
Think of this Portal as your project command center. This online system keeps track of all the paperwork, all the red tape, every message, and every document related to your project. It shows you your timeline, budget, and expenses, as well as pictures for progress updates. Having everything in one place reduces or eliminates unpleasant surprises.
Insurance and Other Overhead Costs
Every project has overhead fees. Unfortunately, they sometimes come as a surprise to the homeowner. When you work with BEST Techs Contracting, insurance and all overhead fees are covered in your FPQ, and it all applies throughout the life of your project.
Build | Remodel Retainer Agreement FAQs
Is the retainer agreement a deposit?
Your Build | Remodel Retainer Agreement fee can and will be applied to the overall FPQ if you choose to move forward with the project, if you choose not to move forward with the FPQ then this is nonrefundable. At BEST Techs Contracting, this fee actually buys you something. So while it does get your project started, it’s also the foundation for total design/build support from the day you hire us to the day you move in.
What if I change my mind?
With BEST Techs Contracting, you can pause or stop your project at any time. While your Build | Remodel Retainer Agreement is nonrefundable, we never bill for work that hasn’t been completed, and we always get your approval before moving on to the next phase.
