No, we didn’t name the company B.E.S.T. because we thought “we are the Best” even if we are!
Deciding to name your company can be complicated unless you just want to use your last name, but ours is a little complicated to spell and say (Scheurer). I dare you to say it correctly. (Shoi’ er’) not easy. So we made the executive decision to find a definition of what we do, B.E.S.T. Let’s break that acronym down:
- B = Buildings
- E = Energy
- S = Science
- T = Technicians
What would make us pick a term like this to describe a residential construction company? Let’s take a look:
During our time spent building our “Living Green on 319” project in Huntington Beach, our company name was “Living Green Homes,” and we thought that was great, but the logo and name left people confused. Our logo was a tree, and we often were confused with a landscaping company, not good for us. We went on with our lives, and as the Home Performance side of residential construction grew, the more education we gained. We learned so much about Building Science and what that means. We discovered that the only way to remodel/build our clients’ homes was with the proper science to help reduce energy use, and this was all inside our buildings. We became Home Performance Contractors! It was a no-brainer to change the name officially to “Buildings Energy Science Technicians,” but that is a long name given we need to also state that we Design/Build/Remodel. There you go, an acronym was born = BEST Techs!
I hope this gives you a little insight into our name and why we chose it. We also love the fact that we can state that we are the BEST at what we do! We know that there are very few General Contractors that have the Experience, Knowledge, and Education we have. When you want the BEST, you will look for the BEST and discover that we are right here waiting for you.
Choosing to work with a professional company that has standard processes in place will make sure your project moves forward with peace of mind and that you have chosen the right company to work on your home.
